History of Cesme

Cesme is located in the western province of Izmir, B.C. it was ruled by the Tyrants in the 7th century. Later, it was under Lydian domination and moved to Turkish domination by Çaka Bey from the end of the 11th century. The main unit of Cesme's economic development is internal and external tourism. 

Cesme Castle and Museum

Cesme Castle was built by Beyazıt II and is currently used as a museum. The castle was actually built as the seafront. But with the sea filling, it has taken its current position. 

Ilıca Beach 

Ilıca Beach, which is a popular tourism centre in Cesme, is a wide and white sandy beach for 2 km.
